I was really confused at the start and never thought I would get anywhere on my first couple of weeks, but that isn’t the case anymore. Before I knew it I was in the higher class – the reason I couldn’t believe it was because it only took me three weeks. Very quickly I was my next belt (yellow stripe). To be quite honest with you, I never wanted to go back after my first couple of weeks. But my instructor David Carmichael persuaded me to stay without saying anything to me, just by the way he taught his lessons and that was before I knew I could get so far.

I love the classes. I go three times a week (Mondays, Thursdays, Sundays). All lessons are fun – on Sundays when we learn break falls and go through patterns and sparring. On Thursdays we do sparring and technique. Also on Mondays we go through patterns.
